For over 20 years, they have partnered with the same small USDA-certified butcher to ensure quality and consistency. To maintain their standards, they grow and grind their own non-GMO feed directly on the farm.

This commitment to non-GMO production distinguishes their practices from broader national trends; according to the USDA Economic Research Service, by 2020, approximately 55 percent of all harvested cropland in the United States was dedicated to varieties with at least one genetically modified trait, primarily for herbicide tolerance and insect resistance (USDA ERS, 2023). By managing their own feed and livestock, Jake’s Country Meats provides an alternative for those seeking meat products raised outside of these prevalent biotechnological systems.
