At Simply Fresh, our priority is Michigan-raised, grass-fed and -finished beef. That means beef that's treated humanely, raised without added hormones or antibiotics, and grass-fed and grass-finished so the cattle graze on pasture their whole lives rather than being grain-fattened in a feedlot. And it's all raised right here, close to home. And in those times when Michigan beef isn’t available, we strive to find the next best thing. And we always ensure that if it’s on our shelves, it’s grass-fed and -finished.

Our current assortment of steaks, roasts, and ground beef is sourced from Zimba Farms, a family-owned and operated organic cattle farm in Tuscola County, Michigan. Not only is Zimba certified organic, humanely raised, and grass-fed and -finished, they’re also certified glyphosate-free. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in common weed killers, so you can be sure that you’re getting quality beef without that chemical residue.
